Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire follows Harry Potter during his fourth year at Hogwarts when he is unexpectedly entered into the dangerous Triwizard Tournament. As the competition unfolds, Harry faces increasingly dangerous challenges while a much darker threat begins to emerge in the wizarding world.
This book was incredible. I loved how much bigger the story became, with higher stakes and a more intense plot. Even though I had seen the movie, the book added so much detail that made the story feel richer and more immersive.
The tournament was exciting to read, and the friendships and rivalries felt more complex. You can really feel the shift toward darker themes, which made the series feel more grown up.
The book is longer and more detailed, which might feel slow for some readers, but I personally enjoyed the extra depth.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire marks a major turning point in the series. It’s darker, more intense, and emotionally heavier, while still holding onto the magic that makes the series so beloved.
